The Lighthouse of Houston empowers people who are blind or have low vision to live full, independent lives. For more than 85 years, we have opened doors to opportunities through employment training, assistive technology, health and wellness programs, youth and senior support, and community education.
Our mission comes to life not only in classrooms and workplaces, but also in the field and in the community. Each spring, our signature Beeping Easter Egg Hunt brings children and families together for a joyful, inclusive celebration. We are also launching the Texas BVI Fall Field Fest, an accessible sports day for youth and adults that champions recreation and independence.
Our vision is a life without limits, where barriers fall away and every individual has the tools to thrive. We invite partners and supporters to join us in creating sustainable jobs, expanding accessibility, and building a future where blindness is not a boundary, but a beginning.
