MEDIA BADGE POLICY

Media Badge Policy for
Houston Summer Boat Show 2015

Thank you for your interest in providing media coverage of The Houston Boat Show.

ONLY ACCREDITED NEWS OUTLETS WILL BE ISSUED MEDIA BADGES.

We require that you provide your media credentials on-site, even if you have been qualified as media for a past Houston Boat Show.

If you have credentials, you may register in advance so that your media badge will be waiting when you arrive.

If you do not have official media credentials, you must provide us with the following in advance of attending the Houston Boat Show:

Broadcast Media:

  1. A copy of your driver’s license.
  2. A copy of your business card with name, title and media outlet’s logo.
  3. A letter on letterhead indicating that you are covering the Houston Boat Show for that broadcast outlet.
  4. Broadcast programs not affiliated with a major network or national cable news stations are also required to provide a published listing of the show’s market(s).

Print Media:

  1. A copy of your driver’s license.
  2. A copy of your business card with name, editorial title and media outlet’s logo.
  3. At least two copies of your recent bylined articles pertaining to the boating, outdoors or travel industry.

Online Media:

  1. A copy of your driver’s license.
  2. A copy of your business card with name, editorial title and media outlet’s logo.
  3. A live link to your online publication’s home page and the masthead page with applicant’s name and title appearing in an editorial capacity.
  4. If applicant is a blogger, please provide a live link to the blog, which must include boating, outdoors or travel industry-related news posted regularly, daily or weekly.

Please note that web site must have a readership of more than 1,000/month.

Freelance Writers or Photographers:

  1. A copy of your driver’s license.
  2. A letter on letterhead from a publisher, editor-in-chief or managing editor indicating that you are covering The Houston Boat Show for their publication.
  3. A recent bylined industry-related article written by you, or if you are a photographer, a recent photo attributed to you in an industry-related publication.
